Total Lunar Eclipse happened last night around 6:25 pm to 7: 25 pm, and leaves stargazers a red blood moon. To those lucky ones who saw the lunar eclipse it first turned out orange and then red and also known as the the “blood moon”. It was said that the colours are a result of scattering sunlight off in the Earth’s atmosphere.
What makes the moon turned red?
It was explained that the full moon turned red when the Earth passed in between the sun and moon thus a shadow from the sun was casted across the moon which causes it to a red colour. It will turn into deep red when the light from the sun is reflected into Earth’s atmosphere thus reflected onto the moon causing it to a red colour.
