Cyclone Marcia hitting Category 5
Cyclone Marcia which is tracking off the Northeast of Queensland is now expecting to be a Category 5 which makes a landfall between Mackay and Gladstone. According to the report Marcia is one of the two cyclone together with cyclone Lam which is Category 4 which makes landfall in Northern Territory. Hundreds of people have evacuated their homes due to destructive winds and expected floodings for up to 300 mm of rain forecast. Cyclone Marcia with wind of 295km/hr as its core as it hits the coast. The bureau of Meteorology warns that it is an extremely dangerous system as it approaches the Central Queensland Coast. Emergency evacuation centres have been set up and set of rescue teams are in place.
